   Saturday May 31 – Wanda Omdahl, the Albany Fire Department Public Information Officer will be Dave’s guest and we will be talking about the smoke alarm requirements when you buy or sell a home as well as creating a fire safety plan for your home.

    Thursday June 05 (and Saturday June 07) – Tom Powell, Powell Construction will be here to talk with Dave about remodeling projects for your home and when it may be better to remodel vice buy a new home.

    Saturday June 14 – This show will be all about “GREEN.”  Dave’s scheduled guests include Steve Willems of Parr Lumber and Glen Rea from EKOS Northwest (www.ekosnw.com) and our discussions will be on the new trends in building materials and techniques designed to be better for the environment.

     Thursday June 19 (Saturday June 21) – Our monthly Real Estate Luncheon.  This month the guests for Dave’s roundtable are scheduled to be – Carisa Ramey (Central Willamette Community Credit Union), Dave Manley (Lebanon Real Estate) and Steve Parrott (AmeriTitle).  Our discussions will lean heavily toward events in the Lebanon housing market.

FREE Summer Concert Series - River Rhythms in Albany Oregon

Celebrating 25 years of music in the summer - FREE Concerts at the Monteith Riverpark.  It all started in 1984 with the Sunset Music Series, an eclectic offering of music for our community.  Here's the schedule for 2008:

July 3rd - Charlie Musselwhite (Blues)

July 10th - Linda Tillery & the Cultural Heritage Choir (Folk)

July 17th - Craig Morgan (Country) * This concert will be held at the Linn County Fair

July 24 - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (Swing)

July 31 - Tower of Power (Rhythm and Blues)

August 7 - Paul Thorn (Blues / Rock)

August 14 - The Grass Roots (Pop)

All concerts start at 7PM, and many of the local restaurants set up food booths too!

New this year:

  • 2 entrances to the park will be well-defined
  • Drop off and pick up locations for the trolley will be clearly marked
  • A display (under the gazebo) celebrating 25 years of River Rhythms
  • Bicycle and Skateboard valet service
  • Smoking area behind the Senior Center
  • Pre-concert at in a more visible location
  • New placement of sponsor information
  • Hospitality for VIPs
  • The "Blanket run" begins at 5:30 to accomodate day-shift workers
